The top and bottom spars are tensioned and supported by a series of loops and rigging lines. All are adjusted by one prussic knot. This allows the sail to be kept under tension in all humidities.
The cross spars are all bowed using prussic knots.
By using nine cross spars it allows me to reduce the spar diameter... thus saving weight.
They have a cascade bridle which self adjusts with the movement of the bridle point.
The bridle is stowed in a bridle sleeve during transport.
The sleeve then slides down the flying line and acts as a line marker at the anchor point.
