This kite is 2' wide by 50'.
I swore that I would never build another half sized Comet again.
They are a pain!
So what do people ask for?
It just so happens that the perfect companion for a Comet (apart from two more Comets) is a pair of Meteors.
The skin layout is the same as it's big brother.
This version has only one vertical spine but still has a pile of bowed cross spars.
The radial array becomes five sticks to form the smaller arch.
The bridle is a three set cascade. Each set held in place by my unique system of zip ties.
It all rolls up into a 2 1/2 foot bag with a diameter of 5". I fly this kite on 50lb or 80lb line.
Flies the same as it's big bro. It just floats on top and follows wind changes fantastically.
Easy to launch and easy to bring in.
When flown above the Comets it is hard to tell them apart.
On their own they are $380.
If you own a Comet the price is $600 for a pair .
