Genki

This is a new design for me this year.

I needed a special display kite that flew in really really low wind.

The kite is based on the O'Hashi Genki.

The spar layout on this kite is brilliant.

By using the correct spar thickness and flex, this kite flies without tails and is incredibly stable.

To reduce spar weight I have used a five leg bridle on the top edge and added a center spine. This gives me the ability to take the sail size up to an impressive 13 1/4 ft.

Warning!

This kite in the light weight configuration is for experienced fliers only.

Flying this kite is a balance of extremely low winds, line weight and height.

A second spar set is supplied for winds from 7 to 13mph. Tails are then added.

Once again "this is a low wind kite!"
