Based on an original single point bridle kite by O'Hashi San.
The spar positioning ,stiffness and balance is what makes this kite special.
The cross spars not only support the sail sideways, but add tension into the corners of the kite. Once a bow is added the sail forms lift and spill areas to stabilize the kite.
Many people are making versions of this kite. This is my three spine version.
It does not require tails, but can be flown with them.
It is a big sail.
13 1/4' x 53".
It can fly at a walking pace up to 11mph.
It is recommended that over 5mph the stiffer spars are used.
The bridle has five top legs and two lower.
The five bridles at the top of the kite allow me to reduce the spar diameter.
A second spar set for higher winds is also supplied.
A smaller version will soon be available in the same colors. It will handle higher wind speeds and will require tails.
